Laser (Er/Yag) assisted removal of a deeply destructed tooth 45 instead of a conventional "flap" opening. Here, the limbus alveolaris is deepened by a laser so far that the remaining root can subsequently be luxated with a Hildebrand's elevator and be removed. Advantage: less hard tissue lost, rapid healing, no cut, and no suture.
