Additional findings: acute thrombus within the left atrial auricle. Acute ischemic stroke of the MCA.

Clinical presentation: 88-year-old female patient; cerebrovascular accident of the MCA, presumed to be secondary to cardiogenic embolism; intermittent atrial fibrillation; coronary artery disease.
