An inflammation of the nail bed was first seen during basic nursing. This was treated conservatively with Betadine ointment. However, there was no significant improvement, so that the patient made an appointment with the family doctor. The doctor then referred the patient to a surgeon who initially continued the treatment like before. After 6 weeks the doctor noticed a significant aggravation -> vascular bypass (Y-graft) in the thigh.
