Anorexia phase 2
Psychogenic eating disorders are those disorders of food intake or weight that don`t have organic reasons. Psychogenic eating disorders can manifest as various clinical pictures. It`s often hard to specifically classify them, but the central problem is almost always that food is somehow the center of life. Psychogenic eating disorders usually express a psychic grievance. The affected often lack a sorted family background, love, attention or social contacts. Job-related failures or desiring a romantic relationship can also be reasons for eating disorders. One the most common ones is anorexia nervosa. Although this psychosocial disorder includes mechanisms of addiction, it`s not an actual addiction. In fact, the desire for a thinner figure is the center of life.
