Plantar fibromatosis is a non-malignant disease of the connective tissue of the feet. It is similar to Dupuytren's disease, but more uncommon. In the beginning, when nodules or cords start growing along tendons of the foot, the disease is minor. Eventually, however, the cords thicken, the toes stiffen and bend, and walking becomes painful.
