Hystreroscopy before Novasure - endometrial ablation in the OPZ Spichernstrasse
What is the gold mesh method? The method is based on a permanent removal of the mucosa of the uterus (endometrium) by radiofrequent current. This can reduce, respectively prevent, future bleeding. During anesthesia, the physician dilates the cervix a little and a small instrument is introduced into the uterus. Then, a triangular net, whose size is adapted to the interior of the uterus, is unfolded through the instrument in the uterine cavity. The mucosa is eschared by an activation of radiofrequent current for 90 sec. on average. After that, the net is retracted into the instrument and pulled out of the uterus.
