Antiphlogistic effect: Inhibition of inflammatory signs

Antipyretic effect: Inhibition of fever and increase in temperature

Analgetic effect: inhibition of pain

Moreover NSAIDs cause other effects by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase; they inhibit blood coagulation by decreasing the thromboxan production, they reduce the prostaglandin-dependent synthesis of the protectiv gastric mucus layer; further effects affect the kidneys and bronchi.
