This 83 year old patient came into our ambulatory because of acute abdomen. According to the patient he has had the hernias for 20 years and he has never experienced any problems, except for a little difficulty urinating.
The abdominal X-ray made shows multiple gallstones above greater trochanter(!).

The following treatment included open cystectomy, a picture can be found here. Because the condition has persisted for such a long time, further operational treatment of the hernia is not possible, the patient would die of respiratory insufficiency. The picture above was taken 5 years ago, the patient was seen at the ambulance recently.
