Erythrocytes, red blood cells
Red blood cells, acaryote cells. Disc-shaped with central indentation on top and bottom, thus biconcavely shaped. Highly specialized component of the blood without own respiratory metabolism. They transport oxygen through the organism via hemoglobin.
