Renal corpuscule
The illustration shows a so-called renal corpuscule (Malpighian corpuscule, named after Marcellus Malpighi). The distal tubulus is cut open, as well as the afferent and efferent vessel. The capillaries (light brown) are surrounded by the (light blue) Bowman's capsule. The proximal tubulus then transports the primary urine.
