Side view. The different layers of the skin are visible. The skin consists of a stratum corneum, the epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis. The dermis contains blood vessels for the supply of skin and hair. The epidermis mainly consists of epithelium. It is also where a tan is manifested. The follicle of the hair ranges to the hypodermis.
