Gastric mucosa
Typical layers: Mucosa, submucosa, muscularis and adventitia. The tunica mucosa ventriculi has lots of glands that produce the gastric juice. The amount of its glands (gastric, pyloric, and cardiac glands) is decreased in case of a chronic gastritis. It has gastric plicae and gastric areas.
