Schematic of an orgasm in a person with vagina and uterus during intercourse with a person with a penis. The orgasm is characterized by several rhythmic contractions of the vagina and unterus and also the pelvic muscles. This kind of orgasm may be sustained over a perdiod of up to 20 to 60 seconds.
The penile orgasm is much shorter and characterized by ejaculation and rhythmic contractions of the pelvic muscles.
Medically: The mechanically or through psychological reflex caused erection of the penis, clitoris or nipples through swelling of cavernous bodies.
