Ribonucleic acid is a polymer of nucleotides that consist of ribose, phosphate and a base (adenine , guanine, cytosine or uracil).
RNA forms a complementary strand to DNA through the priciple of base pairing during transcription (adenine with uracil (or thymine in DNA) and guanine with cytosin).
Diphosphoric acid ester bindings connect the nucleotides.
