Translation, the translation of the genetic information that is saved in the nucleotide sequence of the messenger-RNA into the amino acid sequence of a synthesized protein, takes place in the ribosomes. The mRNA is complimentary to a strand of a certain DNA-segment in the nucleus. The amino acids are bound in tRNA-base triplets complementary to the mRNA and brought to the ribosomes where they attach according to the sequence that is coded in the mRNA.
