Fatty liver, organ and histology
The liver (hepar) is the largest gland of the human body in the right upper abdomen, under the diaphragm, with the following functions: Production and secretion of bile, regulation of the protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism, storing glykogen, detoxing the body. The histological cut shows adipocytes. Macroscopically, the organ seems paler.
