Fibroblast
Fibroblasts are cells of the connective tissue that synthetize intercellular substances, which are needed to produce the extracellular matrix. Fibroblasts descend from mesenchymal cells and count among fixed connective tissue cells, meaning that they lose their motility after maturating and becoming fibrocytes.
