Histology of a cirrhotic liver
Slide of the parenchyma of a liver with cut trough the venous vascular system. These are central veins (blue lumina) that lead into the vena cava inferior. This liver has a cirrhosis, which means that the physiological parenchyma is increasingly replaced by connective tissue. In this slide, no more physiological parenchyma is visible.
