Gastrointestinal tract
Display of the part of the digestive tract from the pyloric orifice to the anus, divided into the small intestine (intestinum tenue: duodenum, jejunum, ileum) and colon (intestinum crassum: caecum; ascending, transverse, descending and sigmoid colon; rectum with its transition to the anal canal (canalis analis). It is partly movably intraperitoneal (mesentery, mesocolon) and partly attached at the retral abdominal wall (retroperitoneal).
