Mast cell
Mast cells are big cells with rough metachromicatic granula that contain plenty of mediators of an allergic inflammation (e.g. histamine, metabolites of arachidonic acid [prostaglandin D2, leucotrienes]). Primary effector cell of the immediate-type allergy. Mast cells are found in the loose connective tissue of skin, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and other tissues.
