Blood flow of the liver via the portal vein next to the hepatic artery through the sinusoids of the hepatic laps to the central vein until the inferior vena cava, towards the heart. Kupffer-Browicz cells responsible for the immune defense of the liver can be found on the inside of the vascular walls (endothelium) of the sinusoids. Bile produced in hepatic cells flows from the hepatic plates to the bile ductules.
