In many patients dangerous breathing arrests with consequent decrease of oxygen saturation of the blood can occur during sleep in dorsal position. The diagnosis (position-dependent obstructive sleep apnoe syndrome) can be made through ambulant monitoring of sleep. The therapy is simple: The dorsal position during sleep has to be avoided completely, e.g. through sewing in of two tennis balls into the back part of the pyjamas. Our practice can refer to a tailor when needed, the tennis balls are provided by us.
