This figure shows 5 food vacuoles; 3 segments of the macronucleus; perioral cilia; cytopharynx; basal bodies of the oral membranelles of the peristome; and basal bodies of trochal band. TEM taken on 4/2/71 by R. Allen with Hitachi HU11A operating at 75kV. Neg. 2,150X. The raw negative was scanned with an Epson Perfection V750 Pro and this high resolution image is best used for quantitative analysis.
