What is the "gold-net-method"? ("Goldnetz-Methode")
The procedure resutls in the permanent removal of the endometrium through high frequency currents, to reduce or end future bleeding.
Under anesthesia the doctor widens the cervix and inserts a narrow device.
After that a triangular net is inserted into the uterus through this device. The net is unfolded inside the uterus and its size is adapted to the uterine cavern.
The endometrium is coagulated throught the application of high frequency currents for about 90 seconds on average.
At the end the net is retracted into the device and removed from the uterus.
