Haemangioma
Haemangiomas are tumours of the blood vessels. They occur frequently, mainly in the infancy period.
Because of the high spontaneous regression rate of haemangiomas, the first strategy usually is a “wait-and-see” approach. In case of a complication like bleeding, thrombosis or exulceration or a rapidly growing tumour a treatment is initiated.
Treatment options:
· surgical excision
· Laser ablation
· Topical glucocorticoids
· Topical interferon-alpha
