Dental fluorosis of the teeth of the upper and lower jaw, demonstrating white stains and yellow-brownish pits of the enamel. The upper 4 incissors have been cosmetically enhanced with dental composite. Dental fluorosis is a dysplasia of the enamel, caused by disturbance of cellular metabolism. It develops due to high fluoride content of the drinking water, or excessive consumption of fluoride-containing products.
