Secondary lysosomes in quick-freeze deep-etch images lie against the smooth E-face of a phagoacidosome (DV-II) membrane. The P-fracture face of one fairly large lysosome lies close to the DV-II but no fusion pore is seen. The P-face of the lysosome has a moderate number of IMPs, more IMPs than on its E-fracture face. TEM taken on 5/25/92 by R. Allen with Zeiss 10A operating at 80kV. Neg. 19,800X. Bar = 0.2?m. A print of the negative was scanned and processed in Photoshop. This image is best used for qualitative analysis. Additional information available at (http://www5.pbrc.hawaii.edu/allen/).
