Indications
Stagnating dilation phase
Threatening asphyxia of the child during the dilation or expulsion phase
Stuck at the pelvic inlet in the expulsion phase (eg relative disparity)
Malpresentation (breech birth (i.e. buttocks or feet first), face, brow, or other)
Multiple birth
Premature birth before completed 32. week of pregnancy or birthweight less than 1500g
Disease of the mother, e.g. Preeclampsia, rhesus incompatibility
Placenta praevia
Major bleeding in placenta praevia
Ruptured placenta
Uterine rupture
State after cesarean sectio
State after removal of large uterine myomas
State after metroplasty
Fetal malformations with good prognosis
Macrosomia of the child during gestational diabetes of the mother
