Shown here is an image of a hypoplastic cervix in which the endocervix (E) appears to blend directly into the vagina. The small protuberant tags are residual malformed cervix. The wound (W) in the vagina is from a clear cell adenocarcinoma that had been locally excised. This image was taken from the NCI publication "An Atlas of Findings of Human Females: After Intrauterine Exposure to DES". This is one of a set of 82 images showing the abnormal cervix due to DES.
