Diagnosis: Bone infiltrating meningeoma of the skull (WHO I)
Description: The cross section shows a homogenous thickening of the skull bone plate with a diameter of 25 mm.
Additional findings: After decalcification of the bone parts of the speciman a bone infiltrating meningeoma became apparent (WHO grade I). Cytomorphological criteria give no hint of atypicals cells or anaplasia. The bone infiltration is not relevant for grading, even with the revised WHO-classification of 2007. temporal.
Clincally: 46-year-old (female) patient, suspicion of temporal meningioma en plaque.
