The Dura mater cranialis, cranial dura, is the part of the dura that encloses the brain iside the skull. It is part of the meninges. The cranial dura continues into the spinal dura at the foramen magnum. Isinde the skull there is no epidural space like in the spinal canal. The two dural layers have grown together.
Between the two layers there are the meningeal blood vessels (medial meningeal artery) and the brain sinus.
