The temporal lobe is an anatomic part of the cerebrum, located beneath and lateral to the frontal lobe and the parietal lobe.The temporal lobe is located in the middle cranial fossa (Fossa cranii media) and forms the laterobasal part of the cerebrum. It is superior and medial bordered by the lateral (Sylvian) sulcus. The temporal lope contains the auditory cortex and the hippocampus.
