Diabetic foot The clinical features of the diabetic foot are:

Poorly healing erosions of the skin. They can develop (especially when poorly cared for) into ulcerations (Malum perforans) and necrosis.

Decreased sensitivity and sense of pain

Weak or missing pulse on the foot

The severity of the symptoms can be scored with the Wagner- /Wagner-Armstrong classification. The end point of the diabetic foot syndrome is the diabetic osteoarthopathy (DNOAP, Charcot-foot)
