Diagnosis: Intraductal papillary mucous tumor of the main pancreatic duct
Description: Whipple resectate (specimen): On the surface of the cut a slightly dilated pancreatic duct, 6 cm in length, is visible. After it there is a significantly dilated part of the duct, 5 cm in length, with surrounding fibriosis and complete loss of parenchyma. The dilated duct leads to a cystic tumor of 15 x 7 x 8 cm. The tumor forms a fistula, 2 cm in lenghth, with the stomach.
Additional findings: Intraductal papillary mucous tumor of the main pancreatic duct (IPMT), intestinale type with focal severe epithelial distrophy. MUC-2 positive.
Clinically: Mucous ectasia of the pancreatic duct. Condition after drainage.
