Diagnosis: Ductal adenocarcinoma of the pancreas
Description: After longitudinal disection of the resected tail of the pancreas a white, coarse, microcystic tumor of 4.2 cm diameter is visible.
Additional findings: Lowly differentiated, partially mucous-producing adenocarcinoma of the pancreas of the ductal type (diameter 4.2 cm) which invades the perineurasl sheaths and the peripancreatic fatty tissue.
Clinically: 59-year old female patient with suspicion of pancreatic cancer.
