After washing and disinfection, of the area to be operated on, the patient, laying on her back, gets covered to cranial, lateral and caudal. The midline and planned incision are getting marked. After that, the skin incidion is performed. After cutting through the scarap fascia, sharp hooks are inserted and pulled upwards. After that, the incision is continued to the muscular fascia. After that, a cut around the navel is performed. During cutting to cranial, perforation has to be carefully avoided. Blooding can be countered by an elecrocautery. After shifting the patient into a position with elevated upper body, the amount of excess skin is determined and the tissue to be resected marked. It is resected symmetrically after that. After that, the navel has to be positioned anew. For that, an incicion in the shape of an inverted U is performed and the navel fixed. After Redon-insertion the wound is closed with a subcutane stitching and a compression is applied. The navel is tended to with fat gauze and plaster.
