Calciphylaxis is a rare disease, associated with high mortality and morbidity. Its heterogeneous presentation often hinders early diagnosis. It presents itself with painful, ischemic, party necrotic ulcerations of the skin. The pathomorphological correlation is calcification of the media of cutaneus arterioles and surrounding fatty tissue.
