Diagnosis: Atrophic kidney, caused by obstruction of the renal artery where it departs from the aorta.
Description: Severe artheroclerosis with multiple ulcerated plaques. The departure point of the renal artery is not visible. The kidney is severely shrunken. The empty spaces are filled with fatty tissue growth.
Additional findings: Shrunken atrophic kidney on the left caused by proximal atherosclerotic obstruction of the renal artery.
Clinically: Coronary 3 vessel disease. Chronic kidney disease. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty. Atrophic kidney on the left caused by absent arterial perfusion. PVD/PAD/PAOD IIa on both sides.
