Nasal fractures present with a deformity of the nose. A lateral impact leads to in impression of the opposite nasal wall; a frontal impact, however, causes a broadening of the outer nose.In addition, nasal fractures often lead to swelling of the nose due to formation of a hematoma. Further consequences include impaired breathing through the nose, nosebleed, lacerations, as well as crepitation (rarely).
