An early therapy of fractures of radial heads are possible without any dislocation. Usually, the treatment occurs after an cannulation of the joint which is done for releasing pressure from the hematoma and for applying an anesthesia. In dislocated fractures, the reposition is followed by osteosynthetic treatment with tiny screws or synthetic pins. In comminuted fractures, the resection of the entire radius head is often just the last possible treatment.
