On 16 and 17 March, Corpus attended the "Bildungskongress Rettungsdienst" in Fürth – one of the most important gatherings in Germany for training professionals in the sector. Over the course of two days, the focus was on new ideas, innovative teaching methods and discussions about the future of training in the emergency services.
The congress centered on the question of how initial and continuing training can be made more modern, effective and sustainable. A particular focus was on the meaningful use of innovative technology in teaching.
For many visitors, this marked the start of a completely new learning experience. Their first encounter with mixed reality sparked visible enthusiasm: although the headsets were eventually taken off, the broad smiles remained. Our Corpus model impressed with its high level of detail, practical relevance and a representation that is astonishingly close to reality.
What became particularly clear was that learning can be more than just traditional classroom teaching. Interactive, immersive content creates genuine ‘aha’ moments and makes complex topics tangible. Content such as anatomy, in particular, can thus be conveyed not only in a way that is easier to understand, but also more effectively and with a real fun factor. The congress has once again shown the direction we are heading in: away from passive listening, towards active experience. Or to put it another way – less theory, more ‘wow’.
A big "Thank you" goes to Stumpf + Kossendey Verlag for the excellent organisation and the successful event. We’re already looking forward to next year – with more headsets and even more Body Boss moments. 💪
