On 18 February, it was time for a change of scenery for Corpus! Our team visited the VR Lab at Heidelberg University, where we demonstrated what mixed reality can already achieve in medical education today.
Dr. Matthias Huck opened the doors to the nursing school management, representatives from various surgical disciplines, students in their practical year and numerous other interested parties. Together, we immersed ourselves in the world of Corpus and explored the possibilities of immersive teaching.
The basic version of Corpus Anatomy was already installed on the two MetaQuest 3s in the university's VR lab. On site, participants now had the opportunity to get to know the advantages of the Corpus Edu version, including all add-ons and multiplayer functions, in detail. From extended content to the practical all-inclusive details of the licence, everything was examined closely.
The direct exchange with users was particularly valuable. Questions, feedback and new ideas once again highlighted the importance of dialogue between technology and medical practice – and how much both sides benefit from each other.
We are delighted by the tremendous interest shown and are quite certain that this will not be our last visit to Heidelberg.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr Matthias Huck, Scientific Director of the VR Lab and Senior Physician at the Clinic for Anaesthesiology, for the invitation, the organisation and the inspiring exchange.Heidelberg, we'd love to come back! 🚀
