Detail of the filamentous reticulum along the left side of the cytopharynx from which cytopharyngeal ribbons arise next to its nodes. Quadrulus associated ribbons lie between the filamentous reticulum and the alveoli. Cytopharyngeal ribbons have discoidal vesicles stacked against their surfaces. TEM taken on 4/10/74 by R. Allen with Hitachi HU11A operating at 75kV. Neg.18,500X. Bar = 0.2?m.
