Questions and Answers

1.

Is it possible to personalise the protected area with DocCheck?

  1. With DocCheck Personal (see also question 11), users are asked whether they agree to have their personal data transmitted to your website. If they agree, their name, address, occupation and area of specialization for physicians are forwarded to you. You can process this data at your end. Please refer to the technical description for the costs of this service. Applications: CRM systems, online shops, etc.
  2. Transmission of a unique key With DocCheck Parameter, an alphanumeric string is transmitted each time users log in. When they log in the second time, they can be re-identified. All the data that you have collected on your website about each user can be associated with the unique key. Applications: User tracking, personalised services

2.

How do I get access to DocCheck CReaM?

After the application for DocCheck Password Protection you will receive an account for DocCheck CReaM by e-mail.

3.

Can I modify the HTML Code?

You may adapt the page for collecting user information to the layout of your website. The following must not be changed:

  • the functionality, thus the call of the DocCheck script and the associated boxes, (for example, FORM ACTION="https://login.doccheck.com" METHOD="POST")
  • The link for password assignment ( For a free DocCheck password click here!)
  • The link for forgotten passwords ( Lost your password? Click here!)
  • You may not add any other text boxes.

The login page must include the DocCheck lettering with a size of at least 14 pixels. Reading out and saving user name/password combinations by the information provider violates data privacy and is not permitted.

4.

Is a contract signes with DocCheck?

Yes, after a company has applied for DocCheck Password Protection, a contract is signed with the owner of the website. The content of the contract is essentially identical to the terms of use.

5.

How do I obtain the technical description?

6.

Can I configure additional security measures on my Website?

You can integrate various additional security measures, such as using HTAccess protection, setting session variables and querying Http Referer. Please refer to the technical description for more information. In principle DocCheck is open to all modifications, and we always strive to adapt DocCheck Password Protection to all technical specifications of your site. Simply contact us by e-mail.

7.

Is the technical description also available in other languages?

The technical description and other documents are available in various languages in our dowload area: in French, German, Italian and Spanish.

8.

How can I change the useres with access rights?

To change the occupational groups that have access to your website, please go to the Administration area and then to the Manage Websites page. You can change the occupational groups at "Access".

9.

Does DocCheck support different domains for the same Website?

Yes, if you use different domains for the same website, we can send users back to the same domain from where they came. Please refer to the technical description.

10.

What is DocCheck Routing?

If your website has different language versions or, for example, different areas for physicians and pharmacists, DocCheck can send the users to the respective areas. With DocCheck Routing the users are sent to the appropriate area of your website based on the language, address (country) of the user or the user?s occupation.

11.

What is DocCheck Personal?

DocCheck Personal allows you to record users? data ? with their consent - and to include it, for example, in a shop or in your customer relationship management (CRM) system. After the login process, an intermediate page is displayed to the user. This page includes a short introduction explaining why it is necessary to transmit the data. The personal data (last name, first name, address, occupation, area of specialization for physicians) is displayed in a form on this page, and users are asked to agree to sending the data to your website. A process should be defined on your website for users who do not approve the sending of their data. In the spirit of user-friendliness, we recommend also including an option for using your site anonymously. As an alternative, an error message can also be integrated into your site. The data is queried and transmitted one time only. Starting with the second time users log on, only the users? unique keys are transmitted, and they can be re-identified based on these keys. You can test this function at http://www2.doccheck.com/com/login/dc_personal/Personal_Start.php.

12.

What is DocCheck Parameter?

With DocCheck Parameter, parameters (such as session IDs, navigation IDs, etc.) that are transmitted to our check script ? preferably per POST operation ? can be returned to your Website after the logon process. The parameters are appended to the target URL as Get-parameters. The quantity is unlimited. This service ? also called Passing of Parameter ? is subject to a fee.

13.

What is DocCheck Alias?

After the login process, users are normally always sent to the same URL of the protected area. But if the same website has different addresses (= domains) and this address is supposed to remain the same before and after the login process, we would be happy to program this feature for you.
Example: You have a website that can be accessed via the following addresses:

No matter which address a user employs to access the site, he is normally sent to the same page (for example, www.productname.com/physician). Once this feature is configured, the user is always sent to the address he accessed to visit the site, thus, for example, www.product-for-indication.com/physician or www.indication-online.com/physician, etc.
